Action Heritage is not your regular heritage consultancy.
We believe that knowing where we come from is important. Understanding the history of the ground where we live and work is good for our communities, our mental health, our connection to country and our care of it for the future.
We want to get everyone active in exploring the past. We’d love to see kids getting their hands dirty digging holes in public parks, we’d love to see teenagers interviewing their grandparents and building oral history apps. We’d love to see city planners engaged with local histories, and the stories of forgotten or sidelined groups brought to light. We have a special interest in Indigenous, feminist and queer histories.
What we can do for you.

(M.Arch.Sci., M.Dev.Prac.) Network founder and facilitator, archaeologist Hey! I've got a background in community development, youth work, business and archaeological science. Quite a mix I appreciate, but it's the linkages that matter when you're trying to make history accessible. I want to make sure our shared heritage is projected and promoted, and works for contemporary communities. Indigenous history is incredibly important in Australia, and so is the history of groups and places which don't usually appear in our national stories. Let's work together to tell these stories. |
